But don’t panic! These changes are all natural as part of aging and you’ll be better off accepting the fact that the youth you had before has decreased. This doesn’t mean however that you’re starting to become unhealthy.

Your metabolism process may decrease as you age but there are activities you can do to stay fit and healthy for your age. If you follow the right diet and increase your activities, you’ll do great in the long run.

Below are 5 tips you can do to increase you life’s activity. Try each one and see what works for your best.

  1. Walking – For years, walking has proven itself to be a very good part of everyone’s daily exercise. Walk at least 1 mile 4 times a week and do some intervals like jogs in between. Before you know it, you’re slowly going back to your normal weight.
  2. Resistance training – Resistance training such as pushups and squats can add lean muscles necessary to improve your metabolism. Muscles are effective energy burner so if you naturally have a slow metabolism, then resistance training is a great treat for you.
  3. Get at least 7 hours of sleep – Sleep deprivation is a blow to your healthy weight since the more sleep deprived you are, the more you eat late and crave for sweets like candies and cookies. Not having enough sleep also affects your body’s ability to regenerate properly resulting to a sluggish metabolism.
  4. Eat more frequently. – Rather than eating in bulks for 2 to 3 times a day, spread your meals to 5 to 6 times a day in controlled, minimal amount.
  5. Relieve stress. –  Stress can be a major blockade to losing weight since you have the tendency to eat more once you feel stressed. Learn some techniques in relieving yourself of stress such as taking a walk or enjoying a bike ride. You can also meditate or enjoy a great time at the spa.

It is important to note that any change you want to implement on your usual liver diet has to be agreed by your physician. Drastic changes can give you the opposite effect so be sure you do it right with your doctor’s approval.
